Anni (Sweden) & Gašper (Slovenia)

Level 2 & 3: Intermediate & Advanced

Anni Skoglund and Gašper Hrovat is an inspiring dance couple. Their style is playful, passionate and smooth. They share the love for the dance as their form of communication through rhythm, melody and harmony. To them it is the awareness of one another that make the couple dance so magic.

From a young age both of them danced several styles before getting into authentic jazz dances. Anni’s background lays in Swedish folk-dance, waltz and fox-trot, meanwhile Gašper’s in popular 90’s Street dances. Eventually swing dance came across and it became another playground. It must have been love at first dance at Herräng Dance Camp 2008. This is how they ended up, living and working together in Gothenburg (Sweden).

Now – performing, teaching and lecturing about swing dances, at home and abroad, has seen them as evolve into a couple that has won competitions with their vibrant style and superfast feet. But above all, social dance is their thing.

Angélique (France) & Matthias (Switzerland)

Level 1: Beginners

Angélique & Matthias have been dancing Balboa for several years. What drew them to the dance is having fun and enjoying each other’s part in the couple. They believe that every dance should always be about sharing the joy.

Angélique is from Toulouse, France, where she has taught dance during several years to University students. She proves to be widely talented and has acquired a tremendous repertoire of dances. This gives her a strong background in dance technique. However, her biggest passion remains Swing dance – Balboa, Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. She is often travelling to workshops and dance events all around Europe.

Matthias has started to dance Balboa after a few years doing Lindy Hop in Bern. He fell for Balboa when he started to discover the opportunities that it offers to express musicality and a close communication between the dancers. He is travelling far in order to dance and strive for progress. In the last years, he has also gained some success in competitions.
