Sanna Leinonen (FI) & Adam LaMontagne (USA/FI)

Level 2 & 3: Intermediate & Advanced

Sanna and Adam have been dancing and teaching swing together for the past decade. During this time, they have become well known for the joy and skill that they bring to the social dance floor. In the classroom, they emphasize a solid mix of technique and playfulness resulting in a dynamic and personalized approach to musicality and movement that is accessible to all dancers.

Adam is a club-dancer turned swing dancer from the mean streets of Boston, Massachusetts. He has been dancing and teaching swing for over 10 years. Since 2010 Adam has been dancing and traveling around Finland and all over Europe to learn more, dance more and share the love of swing dancing.

Sanna’s childhood dreams of learning how to dance were fulfilled as she dove into Finland’s lively social dancing scene in 2001. After having learned a variety of social dances she decided to dump everything for swing dancing. Since 2007 Sanna has been intensively traveling for dancing, training balboa and lindy hop. In Sanna’s dancing you can see her love for swing music, the lightheartedness, gaiety and cheekiness of swing dancing.

Angélique Hameau (FR) & Matthias Raaflaub (CH)

Level 1: Basic level

Angélique & Matthias have been dancing Balboa for several years. What drew them to the dance is having fun and enjoying each other’s part in the couple. They believe that every dance should always be about sharing the joy.

Angélique is from Toulouse, France, where she has taught dance during several years to University students. She proves to be widely talented and has acquired a tremendous repertoire of dances. This gives her a strong background in dance technique. However, her biggest passion remains Swing dance – Balboa, Lindy Hop and Solo Jazz. She is often travelling to workshops and dance events all around Europe.

Matthias has started to dance Balboa after a few years doing Lindy Hop in Bern. He fell for Balboa when he started to discover the opportunities that it offers to express musicality and a close communication between the dancers. He is travelling far in order to dance and strive for progress. In the last years, he has also gained some success in competitions.

Angélique & Matthias are teaching weekly Balboa classes in Bern (CH).
